The NATE-Certification Advantage

March 20, 2018

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning takes pride in sending NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes across North America every day. While this notation of being Nate-Certified surely sounds reassuring, what does it truly mean?

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was created by and has been accepted by the entire HVACR industry for approximately 20 years. But, not all technicians in the industry have to be NATE-Certified. The certification is elective and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems without the accreditation.

It’s essential to Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are putting the most skilled technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these benchmarks, the NATE-Certification exams confirm real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that evaluate the technician’s understanding of these standards.

Since Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses mainly on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians achieve their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may earn certification in multiple areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be sure that the technicians at Service Experts are highly qualified and professional and will do the job correctly the first time. Our company has the ability and skill set to not only fix your HVAC systems, but to take the best care of your equipment. Call to have one of our NATE-Certified experts evaluate your HVAC system to ensure that it is equipped to keep your family comfortable all year long.
