This October, two of our Service Experts centers will be making a statement with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both painting two of their service vans pink for the fight cure breast cancer.
During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be donating 20% of all sales from their pink vans to the North Jersey Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help fight breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be contributing 5% of all sales from their pink vans plus $10 for every Precision tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.
This is the second time Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted a couple of their vans pink to raise funds for Susan G. Komen. In 2015, Fras-Air raised over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. General Manager David Schneider and one of his technicians both lost their mothers to alternative forms of cancer and were moved to help other families.
“The National Cancer Institute says that 107,184 women in New Jersey suffered from breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider stated. “While the number of cases is actually going down each year, that still constitutes a large number of families who are dealing with this disease, and therefore we have an urgent need for research and support.”
The General Manager of Service Experts of Raleigh, Chris Overton, reiterated Schneider’s thoughts. “As reported by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the number one type of cancer in the state – for men and women.”
